Packetware, with its 50+ man-years of experience in mission critical avionic software development can offer similar reliable and scalable applications development and maintenance services. A couple of projects done are mentioned here.

ARINC 429-P3 bus standard & Williamsburg protocol

A file transfer API was developed to transmit and receive files on a ARINC 429 bus via the Williamsburg protocol following the ARINC 429-P3 standard. The Williamsburg driver was developed for Windows NT 4.0 under kernel environment. It is a fully parallel implementation, supporting multiple instances and interfaces. All instances of the driver, supporting an interface, are fully multiplexing, supporting may applications simultaneously. The Williamsburg driver was interfaced with the Airborne Server/Router’s ARINC 429 hardware using the Condor hardware driver.
